Yin Yoga promotes stillness in the body and a meditative practice in the mind. We do this in a candlelit atmosphere to allow for a deeper state of presence. This give you the ability to dive deeper into your own awareness while also getting lost in the music an integral part of the entire experience.
The goal of this practice is to challenge the mind to remain present while physically and mentally releasing tension in specific areas of the body. Each pose (all seated or lying down) is held from 2-7 minutes with a focus on the deep connective tissue, allowing your body to learn and adapt in each posture. Expect to leave class in a relaxed and renewed state with a deep sense of calm and inner peace. Prepare to get your Zen on.
